Day 01:  Persepolis, Necropolis and Pasargadae Daily Tour

Explore and discover Persian Empire history by visiting Persepolis, Necropolis and Pasargadae. This wonderful trip will bring you back in time for more than 2500 years when and where Persian Empire started. The first stop will be after 55 km drive out of Shiraz in Persepolis which once it was the magnificent ceremonial capital of Achaemenid Empire with 28 nations under one flag. You will admire beauty of this ancient city and many incredible carvings on stones by explanation of your English-speaking local guide for 2 hours.

The second stop for a day will be at Necropolis where five of Persian Empires and their families are buried in the heart of rocky mountain. This ancient area contains Elam, Achaemenid, and Sassanid remains. One the unique attraction of this site is the Cube of Zoroaster, the tower-like stone monument in the area which was most probably built in Achaemenid period and its function is already unknown.

The tour will continue towards Pasargadae 70 km away from Necropolis, on the way to there we will have a stop for a lunch.

Pasargadae will be our last magnificent visit for today. The Great Cyrus established the Persian government, Achaemenid, in 550 BC, and chose Pasargadae as its first capital. Pasargadae is a certificate of Achaemenid architecture and mixing of different cultures. Its palaces, gardens and the mausoleum of Cyrus are outstanding examples of this area.
