Sardar Mosque is located on Imam Street in Urmia County along the old part of the city known as Qolamkhan region, and is one of the monuments of Qajar period. This mosque is 400 to 500 meters far from Jameh Mosque and was built by Abdul Samad Khan, Aqa Khan's father, in Qajar period. 
Sardar (Azim-o-Saltaneh), Abdul Samad Khan's descendant, refurbished the mosque in 1912, and installed a large clock on top of it in 1913. Therefore, this monument is also called Sa'at (Clock) or Sa'atlu Mosque.
