Jameh Mosque of Gonabad is one of the invaluable monuments of Kharazmshahian era and one of the historical masterpieces in Khorasan Razavi Province that dates back to more than eight centuries. Some of its important points are its Kufic inscriptions and stunning brick works that are on its qibla porch. At the end of the inscription margin, the date of the construction of the mosque is written in Kufic as 609 hijri year equal to 1212. Based on available evidences, the current building of Jameh Mosque of Gonabad has extentions that have been probably added at Ilkhani era.

This monument was registered in the list of Iran’s national monuments with registration number 325.
