About: Tomb of Pir e Takestan

To the south of Takestan town, there is a brick tower left from the Seljuq dynasty buildings, known as “Pir  monument”. This tomb has four vaults and from the various and ancient decorations of this building, only two small decorative Se Kowli false arches that have a particular beauty with the help of brickworks and patterned joints.

The monument building is in a rectangular shape and its dome shaped cover is implemented on the rectangular map by four arches. While this is an enormously simple building, it has a strong architecture style and it has the beauty and strength of Seljuqi brickworks. These brickworks are finely observable in the entrance view and in the indoors octagonal shape under the dome. There are images in the shape of broken cross and small pieces of fillets. Considering the potteries obtained at the time of digging the main map of the building from this place and regarding the architecture and material types used in this construction, this building can be considered to be from the Seljuqi dynasty.
Pir tomb is registered in the list of Iran’s national relics with the registration number of 384.
