About: Anar Citadel
The historical Anar Castle or Citadel in Kerman is located on top of a hill in the center of Anar City and dates back to Sassanid era. Layers from Arsacids or even older periods might be found while probing and studying of the layers of the castle. This castle was registered in the list of Iran’s national monuments in 1389.
This monument was formed before Islam and was completed in Islamic period. That is, it holds parts of different periods just like Bam Castle (Arg-e Bam).
