Jameh Mosque of Gaz Barkhar was built on the remains of a fire temple that was established by Esfandiyar's son Bahman. This is a small mosque with four porches from Seljuk era (the sixth century) which was destroyed at some points and was reconstructed. The mosque and minarets are related to Seljuk era and some parts of the mosque are related to Buyids period.
There are beautiful Quranic verses in building lines on the old inscriptions of Jameh Mosque of Gaz.
