The Sassanid Sarvestan Palace is located in Fars Province and 9 kilometers from the south of Sarvestan County in Sarvestan City. The whole complex is 25 hectares. This palace was built at the time of the Sasanian king Bahram Gūr and by Mihr Narseh who was his famous minister and also the ministr of Yazdgerd I and Yazdgerd II. The palace is made of stone and gympsum and a square balcony forms the central part with 13 meters length and width and 18 meters height. It also contains a dome in the central part of the yard.
This bilding is similar to Firouzabad Palace or Palace of Ardashir but smaller and its arch domes are maed of bricks. This monument which is the most glorious Sasanian palace includes a dome entrance balcony in the central part of the yard. Unlike the other monuments of that era, this monument has a more complicated and complete architecture.
This monument was registered in the list of Iranian national monuments on 24th of Shahrivar 1310 with number 23, and recorded in UNESCO in 2018.
Eight archaeological sites situated in three geographical parts in the southeast of Fars Province: Firuzabad, Bishapur and Sarvestan were recorded in UNESCO World Heritage in 2018 as Sassanid Archaeological Landscape of Fars Region.
