This museum was established in 2002 (1381 solar calendar) at the historical Salmasi house and is the only professional museum of measurements in Iran.

Without any doubt, gathering old tools and equipment of measure in a complex can clarify the trend of formation and evolution of such qualitative technology by ancestors. In measure museum, types of measure and weighing tools such as different balances, types of watches, weights, modules, tools related to astronomy like astrolabe have been displayed. This museum has been inaugurated in 1381 in location of Salmasi historic house in Tabriz.
