About: Saint Marry Church, Tabriz
Saint Marry Church is the greatest and oldest church in Tabriz City in East Azerbaijan Province. The church is in Namaz Square (previously Cyrus, the Great Square) in Dik bashi Neighborhood in Tabriz. The building was establiched in 1782 and it was built in the form of a cross in Armenian Architecture. Beautiful pictures of Saint Marry, Jesus, apostles and other saints have decorated the walls of the alter and corners of dome taqs. Christian religious-national rituals are held in this church in Tabriz. Great rituals of Arnmenians such as the feasts, celebrations and religious ceremonies are held there. There are six churches in Tabriz and Saint Marry Church is the greatest and the oldest of all.
