About: Khalat Poushan Tower Tabriz
Khal’at-Poushan Tower has been placed in a green valley in left of Tabriz- Basmanj route. This historic tower had particular position for kings of Iran and Tabriz. This erection has been constructed late in Safavid era. At the beginning of Qajar era, it has belonged to brokers of that dynasty. In Qajar period, the robe gifted by kings to Azerbaijan rulers were put on their shoulders in this tower. Later, this place was converted into site for endowment of robe, status, mark and gift from Qajar princes to government servants.
In recent years, Tabriz University has repaired this construction.
