Zanjan city is the center of Zanjan province, which is located at northwest of Iran. This city has ancient history and has been destroyed and restored many times throughout history. Due to the discovery of Saltmen in one the salt mines of Zanjan, this city become more famous in the world and now the bodies of these ancient men, who date back to pre-Islamic times, are kept at the Archeological Museum of Zanjan. Zanjan city has many historical and natural monuments. Also Zanjan is sister to the cities of Trabzon in Turkey, Malacca in Malaysia and Karakorum in Mongolia.
