Takab

Takab is one of the counties of West Azerbaijan province located at its southeast. The center of this county is Takab city. This county ends at Charuymaq in county East Azerbaijan province from north, Saqqez and Bijar counties in Kordestan province from south, Mahneshan county in Zanjan province from the east and Shahin Dezh and Bukan counties in West Azerbaijan province from the west. Takht-e Soleyman (Solomon’s seat) and Zendane Soleyman (Solomon’s prison) are among the main tourist attractions of this city which have also been registered in UNESCO World Heritage.
