Piranshahr

Piranshahr is one of the counties of West Azerbaijan province in Iran’s northwest. Piranshahr is world renowned for its granite deposits. The identified granite deposits of this county, in terms of the diversity in their colors and patterns and their strength, are unique both in Iran and in the world.

The green syenites of Piranshahr are one of a kind and only small mass similar to them is found in Italy, which is being kept in museum.

Piranshahr county, due to having 600 millimeters of rainfall per year, is considered as one of the most beautiful counties in the country.
