Shahrud

Shahrud county is of the largest counties of Iran in terms of area. It is also the sixth largest county in the country in terms of vastness. The center of this county is Shahrud city and it is located northeast of the country. Shahrud county is 390 kilometers away from Tehran and it is located at the fringe of the desert on the southern slopes of Alborz mountains. It has encompassed the largest wildlife shelters and protected areas and if we consider the hunting prohibited areas, it is known as the little continent and the land of five climates.
