Dezful

Dezful county is in Khuzestan province. Dezful dates back to several thousand years ago and is one of the oldest cities of Khuzestan province. In historical view, this region has special highlights. Its brick structures with original Iranian architecture and beautiful decorations has made Dezful famous as the “brick museum of Iran”.  Because of resistance and perseverance of the people of Dezful during the eight years of war between Iran and Iraq, 4th of Khordad (Iranian month) has been named the day of resistance and perseverance and the day of Dezful since 2011. Also, Dezful and Tyre city in Lebanon have been named sister cities in 2012.
