Shabestar

Shbestar, the center of Shabestar county, is of the fertile and lush regions of Azerbaijan. It is located 60 kilometers northwest of Tabriz on the route from Tabriz to Salmas and on the railroad of Tabriz-Turkey. Shabestar is an agricultural region and fruit orchards and vineyards have encompassed this area.

This city was the property of Qajar dynasty and after its fall, the city became the state property of the king until being released from the government and given to its hereditary owners in 1932.
