Malekan

Malekan (Malik Kandi) is one of the southwestern cities of East Azerbaijan province and the center of Malekan county.  Ganzak, the ancient capital of Atrropatene, is located at this county. Malekan is located at the southeast of lake Urmia where the Eastern and Western Azerbaijan provinces are connected. This city, with an area of 1007 square meters, is on the route of Tabriz-Miandoab and its 150 kilometers south of the province’s center.
