Tabas

Tabas is one of the old cities of Iran, which was known as the gateway of Khorasan. According to historians, it may have had several times of its current area and little by little, some parts of it were separated and joined other areas. Tabas is one of the counties of South Khorasan province and it is the vastest county in center of Iran.  The largeness of the county is the cause of the diversity in its climate, plants, trees and various products. Tabas county, with thousand years of history, has many rich mines, in a way that it is known as the mines collection.
