Shahrekord is the center of Chaharmahal and bakhtiari province and is located between the Zagros mountains. It is the highest province center in the country and therefore, it has gotten the nickname “the roof of Iran”. With more than nine thousand years of history, Shahrekord city, is one of the ancient regions of Iran. Due to having a lot of natural attractions, Shahrekord is quite attractive to the tourists. Shahrekord became a city on 1952.
