This mausoleum belongs to the grandfather of Cyrus the Great, Teispes. Archeologists have confirmed that this monument dates back to 600 BC, Achaemenid dynasty. It was built nearly 100 years befor Cyrus the Great. Goor Dokhtar looks so much like the Tomb of Cyrus the Great with a ceiling similar to that of the Tomb of Cyrus the Great. Yet, Goor Dokhtar is smaller in size. 
Goor Dokhtar was registered in Iran's National Heritage in 1997 under the registration number of 1897.
