Ahar

Ahar is one of the cities of East Azerbaijan province and the center of Ahar county. With a population of 85,782 residents (census of year 2006), it is considered as the fifth most populous city of East Azerbaijan province after the cities of Tabriz, Maraghe, Marand and Mianeh. Ahar is the largest city of Arasbaran region and it is known as the center of it as well.
