Mithra (Mehr) Temple of Verjuy is one of four known Mithraism temples in Iran and it is considering as one of the oldest places in East Azerbaijan province. This temple has many rooms connecting to each other that has been dug and carved in rocky underground, however; the most of this temple has been not excavated yet.
Remain of Mithra temple of Maragheh ranks as one of the first inhabited and prehistoric temples. And it is a strong evidence for ancient age of Maragheh. Mithra's ritual and ceremonies was practicing in this historical place during Parthians era when Parthians were more open with different religious and believes unlike Sasanian after them.
Later on, around 700 years ago this place became holy shrine for Muslims when one of the descendants of Prophet Mohammad (God bless him and grant him peace) buried at this place. So this place turned to be more like Islamic holy place than Mithraism. Now, you can notice some Quran’s Sura and Ayat carved on the walls of this temple.
Since then local people call this place with different names, such as; Imamzadeh Masoum Maragheyie, Khanghah, Ojagh, Oleya.
This complex has temple, Cheleh Khaneh, stable, cemetery which seems to be Iron Age old.
This place is registered as a National Iranian Heritage since 1978.

The Blue mosque in Tabriz was built on the orders of Jahan Shah the ruler of Kara Koyunlu dynasty which made Tabriz the capital of his Kingdom. Construction of this mosque was under supervision of his wife, Begim Khatoon or some believe it was under his daughter Saalehe’s management.
Building Blue mosque of Tabriz finished in 1465, after being under construction for 30 years according to some sources and travelogues. No wonder, because this mosque is one of 10 unique mosques of Islamic era architecture in the world. And the Moaragh tiles used in Blue mosque are the masterpiece of its time and the present. The Moaragh tiles of blue mosque are so thin that some of white color flower tiles are 2 millimeters in width.
Blue mosque is also the mausoleum of Jahan Shah and his wife that buried in Southern interior part of mosque. But unfortunately since Tabriz was in war zone, during the existent of Russian in Tabriz, their burial place have been exhumation and plunder. So unfortunately you can only see two empty graves which are remained.
The mosque is famous as Firoozeh Islam (Turquoise of Islam) for the tiles’ variety and elegance and the great calligraphy that have been carved on marbles and used in tiles, the geometric shapes and designs used in it, as well as the beauty and harmony of colors.

History:
The Blue mosque of Tabriz was built upon the order of Jahan Shah the ruler of Kara Koyunlu dynasty which made Tabriz the capital of his Kingdom. His Kingdom covered major parts of modern Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. He was killed by Uzun Hassan (the ruler of Ak Koyunlu) and buried on the only parts of the mosque that survived.
The mausoleum was built in the southern section of the mosque and is entirely covered with high marble slabs on which verses from Quran are engraved in Thuluth script on a background of fine arabesques. The roof of the mausoleum and the main dome chamber of the mosque collapsed during an earthquake in 1780. The mosque was rebuilt in 1973. Reconstruction is performed by plans and supervision of Mohammad Reza Memaran Benam, a traditional architect from Tabriz, with authority of the Iranian Organization of Cultural Heritages.
Short History of Constitution of Iran:
The Persian Constitutional Revolution (Enghelāb-e Mashrūteh), it is also known as the Constitutional Revolution of Iran, took place between 1905 and 1911. The revolution led to the establishment of a parliament in Persia (Iran) during the Qajar Dynasty.
The monarch Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar signed the constitution in 1906, but he died shortly after and was replaced by Mohammad Ali Shah. The latter abolished the constitution and bombarded the parliament with Russian and British support in 1908.
This led to another pro-constitutional movement that started from this house in Tabriz, constitution house. Tabriz was 11 months siege by central government with support of Russian and foreign supporters. The other constitutionalist from different cities joined this movement and they marched to Tehran. This forced Muhammad Ali Shah's abdication in favor of his young son Ahmad Shah Qajar and the re-established the constitution in 1909.

Migration is the term that explains thousands of years of Lurs traditional life in the mountain-sides of Zagros. "Malkanon " is the most important life matter of the nomads. In addition, Malkanon reminds the most significant Bakhtiari tribe's piece of music.
Malkanon is the ancient historical ritual of Bakhtiari nomads. It is the beginning of the nomads' migration.
In Bakhtiari culture, "migration" is associated with hardship and effort, and Bakhtiari men and women take the plunge by traveling through maintains and rushing rivers.
All year round, the nomads migrate twice to reach the green pastures in Yaylak and Kishlak. Yaylak spring migration from Khuzestan to Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari is always pleasing because the nomads get to green pastures and flowing water.
The nomads set a time to head off and pack their luggage. They proceed towards Yaylak in the spring. Those who are responsible for driving lambs and goats sing some poems in Luri so that they can spread the joy and excitement of the travel and the movement of lambs and goats among all of the nomads.
Bakhtiari nomads migrate twice a year. In the spring, they move from hot areas (cities of Khuzestan Province) to cold places in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province and the northern mountainsides of Zagros Mountain Range between April and May, and return from the same path between September and November.
3800 kilometers of first, second, and third class roads have already been identified in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. Some of those roads are more than 300 years old. The most important road is Dez-Part which starts from "Rokh Col" and connects to "Dehdez" district in Khuzestan Province.

Haygher Canyon (Grand Canyon of Iran)

Haygher canyon or known as a Grand Canyon of Iran is like one of the most other incredible places in vast Iran that are not well explored.

Haygher Canyon is located in south of Shiraz city which is one of the top visited cities in Iran by travelers, however still the tourist attractions in the south of this city is unknown to many locals and foreign tourists. About 150 km (2 hours) drive from shiraz, you will reach to this canyon by passing so many other tourist attractions on the way, such as Ancient city of Gor or Fire temple of Firuzabad and The Maiden Castle (Ghaleh Dokhtar) which we highly recommend visiting it.

According to different sources, this canyon has about 13 km in length and 450 meters in height in some area. There is a Ghareh Aghaj River passing through this canyon - depending on the time of a year there could be more or less water in it. Most of the travelers to this canyon prefer just to enjoy a breathtaking view easily reachable by car and a short walk. But some prefer an adventures in this canyon by hiking and rock-climbing into the canyon which needs at least a full day to be dedication.

Haygher canyon is a symbolic place for Ghashgai nomads, a symbol of respect and fear for Ghashghai nomads so Ghashghai people once they reach to this canyon they would face to canyon and loudly say (HAI HAI HAI).

Please click to see our tour to Grand Canyon of Iran with Nomad's life expereince here.

This canyon is located in Zagros Mountains and as you may know these mountains have a vast variety of species, plants and herbs. Grand Canyon of Iran and Firuzabad region is one of the 8 places in this part of the world which has the most plants and herbs variety. From outside of the canyon if you look down, you may not see but once you enter to the canyon, you will notice so many trees, plants growing out from everywhere even from hard rocks and stones. So nomads use these herbs and plants for different reasons, for example, they would use this wild almond tree’s branches as a broom to clean their tent. By using these branches as a broom which they have a bitter taste cause the insects don’t enter to their tent.

There has been a High Lines walk on this canyon with attendance of some countries such as Iran, Italy, Germany and Poland. The highest line was 435 meters in length and 457 meters in height which was 1 week event in the end of March 2019.
